Well Bill,

Might I remind you I am not American, and that at present I am quite happy 
for myself.  But if Americans are happy that's great news.  I should think 
most people are happy in reality, over all.  The acid test is actually, what 
makes them happy and what criteria makes them 'happier'?

Sadly for the manic-depressive, which I am not, the happier people are 
around him/her, the worse he feels lol.
