Re: Same Old Ugly

In my opinion, it has less to do with poverty than it does with a lack 
of assimilation into French society.  The north african muslims are 
French by birth only .... from what I hear, they look at it as thought 
they're not French at all, and it wouldn't surpise me to see this 
Gaza-strip style uprising spread to the other muslim enclaves in Europe 
(Belgium, Germany, Denmark, etc).

I remember some of the holier-than-thou comments from certain sectors of 
old Europe after the L.A. riots ... they only lasted a couple of days 
and were quickly qwelled.  13 days seems a bit much, so the question is 
- exactly when is the French government going to get off it's ass and 
put an end to these riots?  I mean, enough is enough already.
