Bush Mark II?

Well, I see in the news this morning Barack has made another declaration of victory. I am not sure what the 
great rush to do that is - it makes him seem graceless to me, rather like the French emperor who grabbed the 
crown and placed it on his own head two hundred years ago, or more recently (and perhaps more damagingly) 
rather like the politician of seven and a half years ago who declared himself the winner without waiting for 
the Florida issue to be resolved.
