And ironicly, the party who bitched that every vote needed to be counted (unless of course, those votes were in Republican counties or military absentee ballots), went out of their way to disenfranchise their own Democratic primary ballots in Florida and Michigan. So Florida and Michigan voters are worth one-half of a vote? Nice. Very nice. Why not 3/5ths of a vote? Of course, the big question ... does Obama poison his own administration by picking Hillary as his VP just to try to get elected, or does he pick someone else? Frankly, he's an idiot if he picks Hillary. She brings so many negatives that it will turn off the independents, who will flock to McCain (independent fence-sitters just love him) With no true conservative in the election, I'm left with holding my nose and picking someone. Just as I did with Bush, I'll now have to throw my support behind McCain. Perhaps one day a true conservative will run again, but I'm afraid in today's political climate it's all about who can promise the biggest cut out of the government purse. The prospect of an Obama presidency gives me the willies for several reasons. One, he has NO experience whatsoever at running ANYTHING. Two, he is the most liberal person in the U.S. Senate. He makes McGovern look conservative. Three, he is in debt to the left-wing lunatic fringe of the Democratic party Four, I don't want ANY party in control of all three branches of government. Two years of Clinton in control of all three, and several years of Bush in charge of all three have shown how absolute power corrupts absolutely. And Obama coming from that corrupt Chicago political machine doesn't bode well. McCain does have an advantage tho. He only has to run in 50 states, while Obama is running in "all 57 states". True, McCain's uncle didn't liberate Auschwitz like Obama's uncle did (lol), but last I heard, he was an actual war hero himself. It's going to be a long four years ... ------------------------------------
