It's quite apparent to damned near everybody that Obama is as beholden to the left as McCain would be to the right. It's also clear through his voting record in the Senate that he is left of center. You can argue all you want about it, but calling the guy a moderate is not going to fly. McCain, one could argue IS a moderate, based, again, on his voting record. He and Clinton are both closer to the moderate (e.g., center) of the political spectrum. Obama is clearly to the left of center, which is exactly why he won the Democratic primary. Hillary's big mistake was thinking she had it all wrapped up and could run as a moderate during the primaries. She should have run towards the left for the primary, then reverted back to the center once she had the nomination. The only problem with that is it makes it tough during the general election. No doubt, Obama will now start talking "moderate", but his voting record ranges from the 70% to 95% on "liberal" issues according to such groups as the ACLU, NARAL, NOW and other groups that appeal to the left. Either way, I'm swamped with work, so you'll get the last word.
