  Actually, I was thinking about something a little
less automated. I don't think we should arbitrarily
assign a random GM as soon as a game is full. That
could leave a GM in a position to run a game he didn't
want.
  I think, instead, we should go with a forum-style
setup, wherein a GM can look through the list of
variants, see how many responses there are, and decide
from there which game he'd like to run.
  I'm also thinking that this wouldn't be a definitive
list of who's in and who's not. The GM would likely
still put out an announcement, with the caveat that he
will check the forums first and give players who
posted priority. The GM would thus still prompt the
mailing lists, which gives opportunity to players who
haven't posted in a forum or don't wish to.
  I think the point is that there would be more
potential opportunities by creating a variant forum.
We're looking to increase participation and traffic
within the community, right?
