maybe you want to take a look at this page :) http://mywebpages.comcast.net/dewatson7/dipcat23a.htm ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael E. I signed up as a sub in 214. My memories of this game are a little vague but I think I came in as a 6 power France in the middle of beating up on England with Germany. I promptly made peace with England and obliterated Germany. In the end it was me and Turkey but I had Russia as my janissary holding up the stalemate line in St. Pete with his last unit. Probably would have won that game but Blue came in as a sub for England and promptly stabbed me with his measly two units :-), forcing me to take a couple of years off to kill him. In the end Turkey won it by a hair. 226 was the first game I GMed, and for some reason I was really lucky - we had maybe two isolated NMRs the whole game and the quality and commitment of the players was great. Everyone who started the game finished it and Jennifer Barlow went on to solo as Russia through an impressive display of skill. All the while people on the chat list (Majordomo at the time) were bemoaning the low quality of play and number of NMRs on the overall Cat, and I was thinking to myself, what in hell are they talking about? But it turns out that 214 and 225 were the exceptions not the rule. -Mike -- Blues is joy. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
