On the topic of anonimity, all public games (as opposed to private games, where everyone is supposed to know each other) on the dpjudge are gunboat, that is all player identities (i.e. name and e-mail address, as registered with the DPPD) are revealed only at the end of the game. Revealing your identity (e.g. your RL name) beforehand is actually an offense, and may result in you being thrown out of the game, if the GM so decides. Check the house rules (http://www.floc.net/dpjudge/new?page=Policies).

And Manus, that should be "nom de guerre". Another loanword massacred. It's not too late to add that to your new year's resolutions ;)

Thank you! You nailed it. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

Nothing weird going on here, just, all things considered, I'd rather
go by my gaming name than my real name. I at least like to give
myself some allusion of anonymity. ;-)

Once you receive a message assigning you a power, you go direct to
the web interface for that game. Check your assigned power, enter
your password (chosen when you joined the game), and you now have a
blank slate to be whoever you choose to be for the game. The Judge
could care less if you call yourself "Germany" or "Kaiser" or "I am a
Jelly Doughnut".
