Of course the bells and whistles that would say if the two players are on the same computer are not being tripped. They aren't even on the same continent! One of the accused is logging in from a commercial ISP in a European country and the other from a North American university. This information is in the access file which the GM can access through the website. (I have access to the judge through the file system, which is why I don't play there.) Signoff Chris -- IT security in 2020 will be less about protecting you from traditional bad guys, and more about protecting corporate business models from you. -- Bruce Schneier On Dec 21, 2010 8:19 AM, "Been Chissled" <[email protected]> wrote: I am not accusing Thorin of cheating. I am saying the whistles and bells that show someone is on the same computer are not being tripped. I have noticed that Italy and Austria in Owls 244 never send press around the same time. Further look at the moves of the Italian player, with infuses on 1910 retreat. Follow that up with the, HHMM HHMMM, missed moves the next season and Italy logging in 40 min after the moves go through. I can understand your Idea that you can't tell from moves alone if someone is cheating but there is other suspicious activity. I have over 20 games completed in the owls league and played in 3 tourneys, I don't throw this accusation out willy nilly. I am not , I repeat, Not accusing Thorin in anyway of cheating. I am stating I don't think this was looked into very much. On this I could be wrong. Anyway can anyone explain to me why Italy would throw the game to Austria when he is not in danger of being eliminated and it wasn't used as a threat in a nyway???? I understand getting blown out and saying if you keep attacking me I have no course but to throw my lot in with whomever? This never happened. It reminds me of the line from Doctor Strange Love. If you build a dooms day device in order for it to work you have to tell the world. Well anyway this has massively turned me off to Diplomacy on line. --- In [email protected], Jerrod Hansen <jhansen@...> wrote: > > Nice sig.
