It isn't 'my' group so no offense taken. The nature of your game is a private one, when you start you should be open about the fact that several players know each other, putting additional players at a serious disadvantage in de diplomacy arena. If you're really newbies, some experienced players may see that as a challenge :-) To find additional players, I would advice to simply start the game and see if players join, several players simply on the judge if a game is availble, this groups might work, maybe not many active here, but you don't know how many still receive this e-mail if you post a link and a invitation to the game you might very well get players. -----Original Message----- From: nstrassfeld282 [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: dinsdag 19 oktober 2004 1:34 To: [email protected] Subject: [dpj-games] Re: Newbie Help - creating a game (need two additional people) Thomas: Appreciate the quick reply, thanks! Where should I go if I want to get two more people to play? Is there a better place then here to post? No offense it's just that it seems that there aren't a lot of discussions in this group (not very active) Thanks again Noam --- In [email protected], "Thomas de Klerk" <thomas@d...> wrote: > 1) consider it confirmed, certainly if you use rules like Civil > Disorder, setting up a game the first time can be a challenge, you > should spend some time reading the explanation about the syntax or ask a > judge of game you like if he/she would be so kind to send you the set-up > message. > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: nstrassfeld282 [mailto:nstrassfeld282@y...] > Sent: maandag 18 oktober 2004 23:04 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [dpj-games] Newbie Help - creating a game (need two additional > people) > > > > I am going to make a diplomacy game for the first time (my gf will be > the GM, I don't think that will be a conflict of interest because she > has no interest in the game whatsoever and I live with two of the > players and we'd all have to sign off on something before she would make > a change) and i wanted some help with a couple of items. > > After much reading I haev decided to use the DP judge USDP because the > people that are joining the game would prefer a web based interface. > > 1.
