FlightGear v0.9.6

I am pleased to announce the release of FlightGear v0.9.6.

FlightGear is a free, open-source, multi-platform flight simulator.
The source code is licensed under the GPL.

FlightGear is available for free download from:

    http://www.flightgear.org

Precompiled versions of FlightGear v0.9.6 (for most platforms
including Windows, Linux, Sgi, Solaris, and Mac OS X) will become
available for download in the next few days.

Here are a few of the highlights from this release:

- This is an incremental "stability" release so it includes many bug
  fixes and behind the scenes improvements.
- Several aircraft have been improved since the previous release.
- Display lists are now used to significantly increase performance on
  many higher end platforms.

I will be at the AOPA Expo Oct 21-23 in Long Beach CA.  If you are
able to attend, please stop by the ATC booth, introduce yourself, and
