Re: The endless influx of low-quality, low-realism, quantity-over-quality aircraft into FGAddon

Though I can understand the frustration, contributions come in many forms.
To some, rolling up sleeves means coding. But to others it could mean
flying the planes, using the software, doing some genuine analysis, paying
close attention to the user experience and maybe more importantly,
separating the user experience from the developer point of view. I would
think by now most in this forum know the difference between someone making
demands and someone engaging in a serious discussion, no matter how
contentious it might become because my guess is you will sense that they
are striving to improve the product, or whatever someone wants to call it.
If someone can ask "define realism" then I'll ask "define rolling up
sleeves." Someone with a valid, well thought out idea may not be a
programmer, designer or have any of the skills that YOU have. But it
doesn't mean they haven't done the work, rolled up their sleeves. If the
mere suggestion by someone who can't do what you do means their ideas
should simply be dismissed out of hand, then you are simply going to end up
coding this FG yourself in a vacuum. And if that's what you want, you are
on the proper path.
