I think we should have these criteria in place before picking an airport, so that later, when other developers join this thread, they can help vote for themselves. So far, I've seen LJLJ as a good candidate, but there are many more potential candidates as well. 1. Showcase FlightGear well visually, including lighting and surrounding scenery. 2. Work reliably on the current next / WS3. 3. Not require an excessive amount of scenery work before it becomes usable. 4. Offer a good mix of aircraft use cases, such as GA, airliners, and maybe some interesting approaches. 5. Ideally represent an area that has not already received too much attention.
