FDM coordinates

Hi, I am still having problems positionning the 3Dmodel with reference to the FDM model and defining the landing-gear. Where is the origine of the FDM model? how do you get the 3D model and FDM model to have the same reference point? My aircraft is situated exactly at ground level, if I raise the 3D model by a few feet the model is offset from the FDM, causing it to act as if it were on a "stick" or a pendulum... Anyone able to help? Thanks!
