Land data differences?

Hi all,


    I've been trying to generate some sceneries with terragear, in this
particular case, scenery for Hong Kong.

    I've used the srtm3 data from ftp://e0mss21u.ecs.nasa.gov/srtm/ and
the gtopo30 data from http://edcdaac.usgs.gov/gtopo30/gtopo30.asp as
mentioned in most terragear doco. And I have successfully generated the
scenery with not much trouble, with thanks to the terragear tutorial.

    Anyway, what I've realized though is that the landscape I've created
from both data source above are a bit off comparing to the one on
flightgear.org's world scenery download page. I've loaded it up in fgsd
and with a rough comparing, the ones I generated are about 0:00'20.0
shifted to the south, and 0:00'10.0 shifted to the west.

    Does anyone have any idea why?
