Just noticed this project, and I'm intrigued. We're currently using TerraX to build our databases, but it's too expensive, slow, and bug riddled. I don't know much about it, but our visualization software is round earth (WGS84??? something like that). Would TerraGear be able to generate imagery databases for a round earth representation? Is flightgear flat earth, or round earth? Does it use DTED data? Support multiple levels of resolution? Is there any inherent limit to the resolution? I think our best now is 3 inches, however we have a good amount of 1 meter spots which look pretty darn good. Sorry for all the dumb questions! This, simgear, and flightgear look way cool. _______________________________________________ Terragear-devel mailing list [email protected] http://mail.flightgear.org/mailman/listinfo/terragear-devel 2f585eeea02e2c79d7b1d8c4963bae2d
