I had my own set of notes I was developing (probably located in the root 
terragear source dir?)  I would need to go searching to refresh my 
memory.  That might help with some of the specifics.  The existing 
tutorials give a good broad overview of the process, but are beginning 
to get dated in terms of the specific details.
