Freeciv 2.4.0 first beta source code released

The first beta of Freeciv 2.4.0 is now available for download.

New features include citizen nationality, saving map images for action
replays, and easier authentication for servers. See more details at

(Windows packages should follow shortly.)

In other news, the metaserver (meta.freeciv.org) was moved to new
hosting recently. If you operate a server that advertises on the
metaserver, please do "/metaconnection down" then "/metaconnection up"
to reconnect, otherwise clients will not be able to see you.
