Larry, I take your point about Quacks. Personally I can cope with a little pinch of randomness in my games. Drawing a fist load of poison to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory can be somewhat hard to stomach but I just laugh it off. It reminds me a bit of Thebes where no matter how many digs you do, you can still wind up with handfuls of sand!

I also really like Blackout but the iconography lets it down. Trying to see what is in the tiny tiles even if you’re sitting right in front of them is frustrating. It amazes me how a publisher such as Eggert can get the graphics so dreadfully wrong.
