Bummer--I wish I'd paid more attention and asked for Little Town (not Tiny =
Towns) to be on the nomination list. I know it was first published in Japan=
 in 2017, but I don't think many people saw it before Iello's edition in 20=
19. One of my favorites from last year. My mistake.

The site is back up.  It was due to miscommunication between me and the fol=
ks running the datacenter about a necessary IP address change.  Basically I=
 thought they said "Do X before June 16th or we will shut off your webserve=
r", but what they actually said was "Do X and tell us that you did X before=
 June 16th or we will shut off your webserver".  So I did X on June 7th, bu=
t failed to tell them, and so they shut off the server.

The server might go down again if there are other problems (e.g., maybe I d=
idn't do X correctly).

Okay, everyone, it=92s time to get this puppy started!  First off is the pr=
eliminary round of voting.  The goal is to come up with a list of nominated=
 games.  Thanks to everyone for their suggestions; we now have 215 games to=
 choose from.  During the first round, everyone will be able to select up t=
o 10 games to vote for and the top 25 vote-getters, plus ties, will receive=
 nominations and will advance to the final round of voting.

I took the suggestions and combined the two versions of Unmatched into one =
entry.  That entry is called =93Unmatched (system)=94.  I did something sim=
ilar with =93Funkoverse Strategy Game (system)=94, with the idea being that=
 any version of these should be folded into this single entry.  This seems =
like the most appropriate way of handling instances like this and avoids a =
misleading splitting of the vote.

Speaking of voting, you will do so by using our nifty little voting applica=
tion.  No changes from previous years, but I=92m sure no one will mind a re=
fresher.  First, go to the following website:  http://meepleschoice.......w=
in<http://meepleschoice.win/>.  You=92ll see five menu headers at the top r=
ight of the screen.  If you created an account in a previous year, click on=
 =93Sign In=94.  You=92ll be prompted for your Login (that is, your Usernam=
e) and your Password.  Put both of those in and you=92ll be ready to cast v=
otes.  If you don=92t remember your password, click on the Forgot Password?=
 prompt and we=92ll get your password back out to you.  If you don=92t have=
 an account, click on "Sign Up" and you'll be asked to create a Username, p=
rovide your Email address, and create a Password.  You can also log in usin=
g either your Google or Facebook accounts.  Once you've filled out the fiel=
ds, click on the Sign Up button and you'll be entered into the database.

Once you=92re logged in, you can vote by going to the Home screen.  There a=
re two big buttons there, labelled =93Vote=94 and =93See Results=94.  Click=
ing on the =93See Results=94 button won=92t show you anything, because I=92=
ve hidden all the earlier results to reduce the clutter during the vote.  (=
Don=92t worry, I=92ll put them back after we=92re finished.)  So the button=
 you want to click on is the Vote one.  Doing so will show you a screen wit=
h all 215 games listed in their full ludopathic glory.  To the left of each=
 game is a green button that says =93Add vote (10)=94.  To vote for a game,=
 click on the button.  The button will turn red and say =93Remove vote=94. =
 That shows that you voted for it.  Also note that all the other green butt=
ons now have a (9) in parentheses, to show that you only have nine votes le=
ft.  If you want to change your vote, just click on a red button; it will c=
hange back to green and it, and all the other green buttons, will have thei=
r parenthetical values increased by 1.  Once you=92ve voted for 10 games, t=
he text on the other games will change to =93vote limited=94 and those butt=
ons will be disabled, keeping you from voting for an eleventh game.  The on=
ly way you can add a new game is by removing your vote for one of the games=
 you=92d selected.

That's it.  There's no button to register your final vote, because the syst=
em records your votes automatically as you vote for games.  The app remembe=
rs your votes after you leave the screen and/or logout.  When you return to=
 the application, you'll see all the choices you've previously made.  Becau=
se there's no formal way to finalize your vote, make sure you're happy with=
 the selections on the screen before the voting deadline comes and I shut d=
own the voting.

There=92s one other thing to consider.  At the top of the voting page, ther=
e=92s a statement about the voting preference you set last year.  It states=
 whether or not you want to let other users see how you voted.  If you=92re=
 happy with the preference listed, just ignore it.  If you want to change y=
our preference, or you haven=92t set it earlier (maybe this is your first y=
ear voting), click on the =93Change this=94 button.  Doing so will cause yo=
ur preference to toggle between letting your votes be public and letting th=
em be private.  Once all the voting is over, we=92ll be able to click on a =
game and see the usernames of the people who voted for it, but only among t=
hose who don=92t mind letting their votes be public.  That will let folks c=
heck out how their fellow spielfrieks voted, while still honoring the priva=
cy of those who would rather their votes remain secret.

I=92ll give everyone a week for the first round of voting, so sometime next=
 Friday, I=92ll shut down the voting.  Then I=92ll announce what the nomina=
ted games are and we=92ll continue with the final round of voting.
