Well. If they seem to always occupy the best line of each race track. 
If you get the feeling they would never leave the track to avoid a
collision.

Then you might be right. If you leave them no room at all, they will run
into you.
If you are suddenly breaking while you are in their way, they will run into
you.

But if you have the feeling their only mission is to hit you, to invlove you
in incidents/shunts.
Then there is something wrong with your installation/configuration.

They suffer damage just like you. They get slower with increasing damage,
just like you. They are only more stable e.g. their driving skill is much
better
when it comes to prevent spinning and the like.

This is sadly true for some or most of the robots. If you occupy the best
line on a
race track with only a rather bad line with a long way aroud you, they will
just try to get through you.
