Error installing torcs - "Can't find libm"

Hi,
I'm working on to build a bot for torcs and following
ww.berniw.org/tutorials/robot/tutorial.html tutorial as a reference.
When I ran ./configure command in torcs-1.2.4 directory, it gave some error.
"configure: error: Can't find libm"
I have searched for it on google and found nothing helpful. So please help
me.
