The gaming computer is a Pentium IV 2.4 GHz running Windows 2000. Right
now I don't have access to that machine, so I tested on an old Pentium
II at 350 MHz (Windows 98) and a Laptop with a Pentium M 1.6 GHz
(Windows XP).

Showspeed is on, I did some testing on both machines described above,
switching it off did not influence the gaming speed in a noticeable
way. On the slower machine, opening one train window caused significant
slowdowns, on the laptop it was three to four windows.

I then tested if turning off the sprite sorter would have any
influence. Well, it did not, game speed remained unsteady as soon as
one or more train windows were open, regardless of the sprite sorter
setting. So now I'm somewhat confused. I'll recheck the whole thing on
my gaming machine, but that'll have to wait until the weekend.

Greets,
Uwe
