If I may join in the debate, I can confirm that those two windows create a certain amount of slowdown, as one would expect. Yet, I have also been able to recreate a peculiar phenomenon which has been reported here a few weeks ago by someone: there can be a considerable slowdown caused by one or two open train windows. And ist is important what kind of train it is. I have a number of longish freight trains (14-tile-trains, i.e. engine plus 27 cars) in my game. I can open the train windows of as many oil transporting trains as I wish without a discernible effect. But If I open two train windows for fish transporting trains (refrigerator wagons), the display becomes choppy. regards Wolfgang -- Wolfgang Preiß [email protected] http://www.wopr.handshake.de/ -- TTDPatch mailing list.
