I had always opened six train windows, and no other windows for
comparing the effects of different Patch settings. With less train
windows the game worked better, with more windows open it became even
slower (read: more unsteady game speed).

But I did some more testing, and now I'm somwhat puzzled. I had disabled
the option miscmods.notimegiveaway, and guess what, switching it on (so
that the game gets all CPU time) had a very drastic impact, which then
led to some further testing:

With notimegiveaway on and gamespeed off, gaming speed is roughly twice
as fast as normal, i.e. one game day is less than a second. Setting
gamespeed 0 results in normal behaviour.
With notimegiveaway off, gamespeed off works just like gamespeed 0. All
this was tested with alpha 69 windows version.

Now could somebody please explain to me why the computer can display the
game properly at faster gamespeed settings but display is jerky with
standard speed?

Greets,
Uwe
