Well, the best way to have nice map is to create it only with help of generator... I have made one map with few mountains and lowlands or small highlands between, with twou seas (or great leakes) on two sides connected with one river with other rivers (branches) and with cities and villages connected with roads or highways (two roads). I am going to make some other, especially with more realistic rivers. But I like the possibility to make ship routes from one side of map to another thru rivers. Unfortunately my game played almost to the 21st century is was damaged or whatever. And the game crashed everytime after few seconds from the last save. That is why I am not playing TTD almost a year now. But I am looking forward to trams...! Sorry for a bit of off topic:-). But the existence of TTDPatch is very great for me. TTD is still my favourite building strategy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Daan Krantz" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, May 17, 2006 3:59 PM Subject: Re: [ttdpatch] random map generator (was: AlpineClimate version 0.2 released) > [cut] > >>> Is there a way to get a map with a smoother transition from flat to >>> mountainous, except from creating a map in the editor? > >> >> Some support from TTDPatch would be required.
