Hi,

The editors of the Adsl2 MIB would like to make an additional change to
the draft and wish to get WG comments regarding this issue. If anyone has
any comments to make regarding this change, I would like to hear from them,
as soon as possible so that the issues can be discussed and the document
can progress to publication.
I will accept comments on this issue until Tuesday 6th June.

The change is outlined below:

The change is to the TC, Adsl2OperationModes. This TC was initially defined
with only 7 modes however this is
now seen as not being adequate. For each bit position in
Adsl2TransmissionModeType TC a matching value is needed in the
Adsl2OperationModes TC so that it is possible to distinguish between
different Operation Modes.

For example, if the user enables both "ADSL2 POTS Overlapped" and "ADSL2
POTS Non-Overlapped" bits in adsl2LConfProfAtuTransSysEna object then he
will need two entries in the adsl2LineConfProfModeSpecTable at least for
specifying two different PSD masks (e.g., adsl2LConfProfPsdMaskDs/Us).
Currently the TC has only a single value for ADSL2 POTS so it doesn't
support this.

The suggested change involves the following modifications:

Adsl2OperationModes:

OLD: Attributes with this syntax uniquely identify an ADSL mode, which
is a category associated with each transmission mode defined for
the ADSL/ADSL2 or ADSL2+ link. Part of the line configuration
profile depends on the ADSL Mode:

         defMode (1), - The default/generic PSD configuration.
The default configuration will be used
when no other matching mode specific
                                configuration can be found.
adsl (2), - ADSL (POTS or ISDN)
         adsl2Pots (3), - ADSL2 (ISDN)
         adsl2Isdn (4), - ADSL2 (ISDN)
         adsl2PlusPots (5), - ADSL2+ (POTS)
         adsl2PlusIsdn (6), - ADSL2+ (ISDN)
