Well my very initial idea was actually to come up with some sort of peer distribution system that would allow various parties to exchange filtering data and query the network when someone comes across a message that they do not know about. I came to the conclusion that such was a bit of a mammoth task and getting people to take up something like that would be difficult aswell. So, I took a step back and though of how you could possibly get there. First step, get a distribution system going for existing services that are being used. Then you can extend the usage of that system for further means. Thanks for the pointer to the main list, I've got a fair amount of work going at the moment so haven't had the chance to look at archives, I should probably subscribe over there aswell.
