  Everyone knows this.  If they don't, they should.

  LMAP reduces the technical space which spammers can use to send
spam.  This means that some current methods for sending spam become
useless.  That sounds like a positive step to me, albeit small.

  Spam is here to stay.  It's impossible to get rid of all of it.  Any
requirement that a proposal is accepted only if spammers can't work
around it is a requirement that we do nothing to stop spam.

  So... will LMAP stop spam?  No.  Will LMAP reduce the amount of spam
over the long term?  No.  Will LMAP reduce spammers ability to abuse
the network?  Yes.

  I don't see any of the LMAP proponents preventing you from posting
other ideas to this list, and I've had a number of exchanges with
Yakov about other SMTP verification methods.
