An existing counter system

This is from the main ASRG list. They are overloading the existing 
protocol used for RBLs to return counter information, for example:

127.1.y.z: statements of known facts related to observed characteristics
127.1.0.z = sender volume, last 24 hours
127.1.1.z = sender volume, last 1 week
127.1.2.z = sender volume, last 1 month
127.1.3.z = sender volume, last 1 year
127.1.8.z = complaint rate, last 24 hours
127.1.9.z = complaint rate, last 1 week
127.1.10.z = complaint rate, last 1 month
127.1.11.z = complaint rate, last 1 year
127.1.16.z = bounce rate, last 24 hours
127.1.17.z = bounce rate, last 1 week
127.1.18.z = bounce rate, last 1 month
127.1.19.z = bounce rate, last 1 year

Actually the codes we use are a subset of the proposed standardized
codeset we developed with Craig Hughes (SpamAssassin) (Craig actually
did the initial development, with after-input from us, and tweaking a
bit for the needs of ISPs, from whom we also had input).  We worked
very closely with Craig as well as the ISP community because we wanted
to be sure to provide a product which was completely useful,
functional, and practical for both spam filters and ISPs (which is also
why we offer it in two flavors - one with each individual data response
returned per query, and one with an aggregate score, the latter being
requested by some of the ISPs).
