1. Such a beast exists. It's called a WebCache. Readily available 
   and already installed in most companies. To my experience far
   more companies have a webcache than a caching DNS server.
   :-)


2. The LMAP library could pretty easy cache it. The HTTP response
   comes with expiry information. Not a big deal to cache this.
