Err, QUERYID is only on queries to identify them.  Its not specified to be 
on other components so you must be still thinking of stored queries.  If 
we dont have stored queries then you wont be looking for it in the CS, the 
CUA will be the one generating it as it needs it using something akin to 
my pseudocode from before.  Hence, no 2 trips...

Go recheck that psuedocode.  The CUA crafts the proper query itself and 
sends it.  There is NO way around it if the CUA wants to find "Any alarms 
that trigger in the next 15 minutes", etc.

Slowly in... Slowly out...

The does NOT do attempt to go find any stored query in the CS using 
QUERYID:XXX, pull it down and then resend it.  You are missing the entire 
proposal.  There are no more stored queries.  This means then that the CUA 
simply generates the correct query (since the CS cant do it anyway!) and 
sends it.  That means 1 trip, not 2.
