Err, QUERYID is only on queries to identify them. Its not specified to be on other components so you must be still thinking of stored queries. If we dont have stored queries then you wont be looking for it in the CS, the CUA will be the one generating it as it needs it using something akin to my pseudocode from before. Hence, no 2 trips... > Please show me the VQUERY component that your CUA will send. Go recheck that psuedocode. The CUA crafts the proper query itself and sends it. There is NO way around it if the CUA wants to find "Any alarms that trigger in the next 15 minutes", etc. > Your going to have to (1) fetch XXX, then (2) submit it. > That is 2 round trips. Slowly in... Slowly out... The does NOT do attempt to go find any stored query in the CS using QUERYID:XXX, pull it down and then resend it. You are missing the entire proposal. There are no more stored queries. This means then that the CUA simply generates the correct query (since the CS cant do it anyway!) and sends it. That means 1 trip, not 2.
