I'm not asking about the excuses that a couple of implementers are using, many years after a specification was published -- for why they have not yet implemented a portion of the spec, 7 years after it was published. You are proposing some language changes and you are claiming that the changes will produce much greater implementation. So I am asking when this has occurred in the past, which would therefore provide an empirical basis for believing it likely to happen now. The point behind the query is to solicit some actual evidence that might reasonably counter the 7-year adoption failure of the SPF RR.
