Two responses on Mastodon from the lead developers of curl: @[email protected] @[email protected] modern clients supporting this are also the most likely to already do happy eyeballs and should already handle ipv6 only hosts just fine... https://mastodon.social/@bagder/116877328366954848 @[email protected] @[email protected] @[email protected] Yeah, I think I understand the intention behind this, eg a CDN offloading its ipv4 endpoints over time, but - non happy eyeballing clients will not see this - HE clients already give high preference to ipv6 - telling clients they MUST NOT use ipv4, although the records are there and ipv6 hasn‘t responded yet, is silly.
