Forgive me, but in the immortal words of Mandy Rice Davies:

I believe that a fair number of these units DO have LDAP interfaces -
they will sure need
something to deal with authentication of querying user. Certainly a
number of IMS components
do have (and use) LDAP. Whether that's wise I will leave to others,
but they do.
However, with number portability, whatever cards you're dealt, this
could mean different
answers for every single calling number, and each of those sets of
answers could be large.
Is the RFID registry not enough for people?
