It gets 'broken' because send-n will interfere with wild card records
because in most case the most specific record should take preference.

Why does such a case need ratification for if there is only going to be
a small subset of private users taking advantage of it?

If there is only going to be private users let them sort it out amongst
themselves as to what they are going to do rather then coming up with
half baked ideas that break existing dns types. If on the other hand
this is supposed to be useful for the wider internet community than some
other method would still be needed not to break dns types, otherwise why
bother with the standardisation process if you already have it stuck in
your head this is the one true way and no one can tell you any differently?
