If it is appropriate to addition reference to image/tiff-fx, then some
possible edits are provided below.
2.2.3 Content
The data format of the facsimile image is based on the minimum set of
TIFF for Facsimile [5], also known as the S profile. Such facsimile
data are included in a MIME object by use of the image/TIFF <<change to
image/tiff>> sub-type
[12]. Additional rules for the use of TIFF for Facsimile, for the
message-based Internet facsimile application, are defined later.
NOTE: In the event that TIFF fields and values beyond the
minimum set of TIFF for Facsimile are used, as a result of
prior knowledge of their support by the recipient, then data
of the F profile SHOULD also use the image/tiff sub-type while
data beyond the S and F profiles MUST use the image/tiff-fx
sub-type [20].
<<Edit to section 6.1 Normative references>>
[20] McIntyre, L., Parsons, G. and Rafferty, J., "Tag Image File Format
Fax eXtended (TIFF-FX) - image/tiff-fx: MIME Sub-type Registration",
draft-ietf-fax-tiff-fx-reg-??.
