We know who applies for each position and who the nomcom selects. When you looked at the relative diversity of the applicants and the selectees in recent years, what did you find? No amount of futzing with the nomcom process is going to make a difference if the only applicants are (to oversimplify only slightly) two guys from the San Francisco suburbs. We need to work on making the IETF as a whole more welcoming to as wide a range of people as practical. I know it's possible because I've seen it happen at M3AAWG and (for all its faults) ICANN, both of which have way more women in leadership roles than we do. R's, John
