That implies, most importantly: - I can find out, easily and with certainty, whether two addresses are the same - the standard is simple enough that it's correctly implemented - there is a test suite to help implementers - the standard is widely adopted (no qmails/Chinas going off on their own) - the standard is usable in most of the world, so it's not superseded quickly (I will regrettably not be able to come to Minneapolis.) --Arnt
