The chart is not complete for arbitrary header fields, such as X-Send-Abuse-Complaints-To (a name I invented, but surely someone uses it, *sigh*), where the SMTP server doesn't know whether the octets in question form an address or something else. Bruce Lilly wrote an excellent treatise on that subject recently, archived under http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=fa.ciqnt72.1v2smb6%40ifi.uio.no I don't think it needs to be complete for that case. It's just something to be aware of. --Arnt
