If I'm reading this correctly, this means that you won't use this preview thing either because it fetches actual body part data. Fair enough, that's probably a good optimization, but I do not see how is that relevant to the proposed extension which would have a very similar cost. Unless you assume servers will add adaptive caching, which they can already do now.
