Fair enough, that's probably a good optimization, but I do not see how is that relevant to the proposed extension which would have a very similar cost. Unless you assume servers will add adaptive caching, which they can already do now. Except caching based on an arbitrary prefix is harder than caching based on a known semantic preview.
