I checked in with my co-chair Derek this morning. We agree that it's clear from the threads over recent days that while we do not have unanimity, we do have rough consensus on the following points: 1) We won't reopen the MSGFMT discussion. 2) CPIM and IMPP in general are concerned only with gatewaying or other forms of interoperation among IM/P systems that have chosen to conform to 2778/2779. I think that good points have been made on both sides and I appreciate the thought and energy that have gone into the discussion. But now we need to move on. In particular, we badly need to use Monday's meeting in Atlanta to identify and discuss any remaining issues that are blocking completion and submission of our current drafts. Thanks, --Mark [reminder: [email protected] for non-technical discussions, please]
