I think the term interface needs to be defined within your network/purpose,
and that is why I needed to add it to what you are looking at, and you to
consider. I seen it was out of scope for RFC8175.

I agree, however, all terms need a good/clear reasonable definition, which
as you realised that rfc8175 did not define your purpose.
