I tend to feel that it's pretty well covered by the Optimistic DAD draft (now up to -03, still only 13 pages!) ... if stateless DAD is sufficient, why worry about stateful DAD? Of course I'm a little biased, as author, but on the other hand Opti-DAD has evolved through a couple of rounds of debate on mobileip and ipv6 mailing lists, and has a couple of independant working implementations. I'd like to see Opti-DAD adopted as a DNA WG draft, so we can develop an issues list and put it up for standardization ASAP. I feel that this is a matter for Engineering, not Research. -----Nick <http://ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-moore-ipv6-optimistic-dad-03.txt>
