I tend to feel that it's pretty well covered by the 
Optimistic DAD draft (now up to -03, still only 13 pages!) ...
if stateless DAD is sufficient, why worry about stateful DAD?

Of course I'm a little biased, as author, but on the other hand
Opti-DAD has evolved through a couple of rounds of debate 
on mobileip and ipv6 mailing lists, and has a couple of 
independant working implementations.  I'd like to see Opti-DAD
adopted as a DNA WG draft, so we can develop an issues list
and put it up for standardization ASAP.

I feel that this is a matter for Engineering, not Research.
