There will be a message tracking meeting at the 42nd IETF on Thursday,
August 27 at 1 p.m.
Here is a tentative agenda. See you there:
1. Review Charter and Charter status
2. Review model document (some of the below may already be complete from
the last meeting):
a.Review levels of users or "adminisrative levels"
b.Review model draft document (Vaudreuil). What types of messaging
"events" will we be tracking ?
What is the scope ? What components are involved ?
c. Revisit requirements for queries: what items are available for
message tracking (e.g. sender,
recipient, message ID, and so on) at each administrative level,
and which ones ought to be available ?
3. Security
a. Given that we know who the "users" of the information are, what
security features are necessary to
support each type of user ? What message tracking information is
each user allowed to "see" ? How do
you handle inter-domain users ?
4. Protocol Issues (if we ever get that far)
a. What protocols are available to do this job, and what does the
group think ?
b. What security mechanisms are available in the chosen protocol
(TCP, SNMPv3, SSL) to support the
security features, and exactly how is the technical information
employed ?
