Thanks for the update!

This change feels like a massive simplification/improvement.
I've written a sketch implementation that can serialize and parse the 
new subpacket (see https://github.com/rpgp/rpgp/pull/725/)

PS: I also have some very rough code that produces TSKs with 
replacementkey metadata, so I hope we can do some roundtrip testing, as 
soon as there's a second implementation.
