No not really. I guess from a business point of view some will probably feel its suicide to not bow to every (unreasonable) demand from their customers. From a economical point of view it might be true. But just partly I believe. Give the customers a clear choice, again scary for some, either you can keep your old equipment and not being able to use every new service popping up, not able to reach everything etc. Or you can just get this new product, cost the same every month, have to pay XXX for new equipment and you're set to go for the future. I as a customer would love to have an ISP giving me that choice. Of course, I might be a bit more technical than the average joe that only want thing to work whenever its turn on. ... but in the end, I belive it is not a technical problem.
