I'm not sure "obsoleted by" is the right wording, since IMAP has not
obsoleted POP; not yet anyway.  Perhaps "XTND XLST was designed to
provide functionality similar to that now available in IMAP4rev1 (RFC
2060) by the HEADER.FIELDS facility".

I agree; I'd prefer that this was held until SMTP AUTH (and maybe the
Submit BCP) are out.
