We (.co.za EPP) have had a few requests for the credit balance from our registrars too, as well as the ability to fetch an invoice or statement (which I think should remain out-of-band).

Leading from that I think a synchronization extension would be very helpful which could possibly include:

  Domain Listing: I know domain listing functions have come up before but the sheer volume is staggering. 
    What about fine tuning a listing to search by contact and/or creation date? 
    Or retrieving the data in batches and fetching the delta at the end?

  Contact Listing: To list all contacts associated with the registrar as well as very basic information. 

These commands would only be run by a registrar to retrieve their own objects.
